More about betina's fitness journey:

Betina is a personal trainer and wellness professional who found a passion for fitness once she finally built up the courage to pick up weights. She discovered that going to the gym could be so much more than pedaling through the elliptical for 20 minutes and finishing her workout with a few crunches.
As a trained dancer and performer, she was always drawn to group fitness classes such as Pilates, Yoga, Spin, and Zumba. She was appalled by the idea of lifting weights because of that famous myth – weights make women bulky. However, seeing her strength increase little by little over time only made her crave it more. That’s when she finally gave in, called in for reinforcements and cashed in on a complimentary personal training session. She’s thrilled to say that she eventually debunked the myth, and has been on a mission to educate others of her journey to inspire them to do the same.
Between training on her own and attending group fitness classes regularly, she continued to discover more about her body and alternate forms of conditioning. She literally became an endorphin addict and with that, realized how much she wanted to help others discover this incredible high.
She finally turned her passion into a profession by becoming an ACE & NASM Certified fitness professional. With her passion and energy, she quickly became a popular trainer at her gyms, always being requested or having her classes filled at capacity. She has been featured globally through NordicTrack, Nike, Women's Health Magazine, WGN News, ABC’s Windy City Live, WCIU’s You & Me in the Morning, and NBC News as a featured trainer. Betina has experience in teaching a multitude of classes; from high intensity interval training, bootcamp, strength, boxing, barre and even Zumba! Her training philosophies lie in functional movement, providing the tools and movement education each individual needs to be able to live their healthiest and best lives. She does not train all clients the same way because she knows everyone has a different journey, and she wants people to move the best they can in their own body, and more importantly: feel good.
As a Nike Master Trainer, Betina has lead classes and live events throughout the Workd, and she has also been featured in the Nike Training Club app! Betina has lead work outs for groups as big as 2,000 people at various public events. Her passion lies in inspiring people to try things they never thought they could have and to continually surprise and encourage them along the way. She continues to further her education by taking workshops and spending time learning more about the body and the industry. She loves that the industry is filled with so many influential and amazing trainers and leaders, and they are her favorite outlet to learning more about fitness and bodies! Her only wish is to influence others as much as they have inspired her!
